The purchase of a pellet stove was the impetus for the dramatic changes made to the room. It created a backdrop for a roster of material choices, architectural elements and functional storage to be pulled together in composition. Anchoring the elements in the room, the stone fireplace is graced by symmetrical bookcases that double as electronic storage units. Vented lower cabinets allow airflow around the media components preventing them from overheating. With plenty of room to relax, read and work via laptop or tablet, this multipurpose room embraces a new attitude and functional comfort.
