A hardworking home office can easily be tucked into a corner yet provide ample space for homework, running your business or even writing that novel. Our customer wanted to have a space for her children to do homework, as well as, her own office when working from home. To visually expand this tight basement space, we utilized the ledge of the foundation to inset the upper cabinets. This allows for a non-traditional desk depth but still gave them the functionality they were seeking.

Creating a design that utilized two available walls was vital to maximizing the office’s storage capacity. Open shelving at eye level provides storage for binders, books, transitional paperwork or office essentials while reducing desktop clutter. Upper cabinets with adjustable shelves enable office supplies to be stored out of site. Design features included Cortina Impresa door and drawer profiles, profile side panel, full return base molding, desk grommets and file drawers.
